2013 WaMu Tower Stair Race Results

WaMuSo one of my New Year’s resolutions is to carve out the time to put up more posts on this site. I have been meaning to start this for about a year now, but now that it’s an official resolution, it will happen. One of my character flaws is that I feel like a post or video has to be perfect or don’t do it at all, so getting rid of that attitude is another resolution I made. Having said all that, you can expect more posts, but much shorter than usual, with less detail, as well as more videos, but without the bells and whistles of past work. Here it’s better to get the information out there, even if it’s not perfect then to not do it at all and lose the fox, links, and data forever.

I will be going back and entering posts with data and links from past climbs soon, but I figured I would start with my most recent climb for this post anyway.

Click here to check out the results from our relay teams this year at the 56 floor WaMu tower race here in Seattle! We got a little bored winning every year with our undefeated men’s relay team, so this year we set out to win overall with a women’s team. Actually, we entered two women’s teams and they won 1st and 2nd place overall, separated by only 1 second between each team, and were almost a whole minute ahead of the next closest all-men’s team (who took third overall). Go X Gym women!!

Oh, and we won all the other stuff for individual climbs too, taking 8 of the top 10 overall fastest times, 1st and 2nd place overall men, 1st and 2nd place overall women and so on, but that’s probably no surprise to you. Click here for those results.

Congratulations, PJ! And the #1 team’s name is very clever/cute! I’m also impressed by Kevin Crossman’s ability to finish in both 2nd & 6th place! Way cool!
