New cup race: 300 N LaSalle

The US Tower Running Federation is pleased to announce the addition of the CF Climb at 300 N LaSalle to the US cup as a 100-point climb. This race is in its fifth year, and is an extremely well run and timed 58 floor race in an excellent building located in downtown Chicago.  300N is an architectural masterpiece, one of the newest buildings in downtown chicago, and a platinum certified “green” structure.  This race regularly attracts many of the top stairclimbers in the US and the world, and is expecting a strong field again this year. Additionally, there is a well-run and entertaining awards ceremony, a great post-race banquet, photos, cheering section, and several well-stocked snack and water stations during the climb.

“We’re excited at the continued success of this event and the increased support we’re receiving from elite climbers across the country,” said Amy Kozyra, Development Manager for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. “Our goal is raise $140,000 this year to fund vital CF research and patient care programs. Because of events such as the CF Climb, our patients are living into their 30s, 40s, 50s and beyond which is a great accomplishment from where the Foundation started.”

The US Tower Running Federation knows all tower runners from recreational to elite athletes would enjoy this event, and encourages all racers to consider this event. With our age and gender categories, valuable national ranking points could be achieved by many racers–or you can simply enjoy the challenge, festive atmosphere, and raising money for a good cause!
